We hired McKenzie Contracting, for tree removal and general forest clean-up of our half mile long driveway area, based on their highly positive online reviews. However, our project was initially delayed by two weeks due to the project manager being fired and a “scheduling conflict”. Although we had three onsite visits, at 4PM the third day of work the new project manager called to say we needed to do a final walk through. I had problems with water not draining properly in the backyard where my pool had been removed. There would be a very large puddle for several days. Their crew came and leveled the ground so now the water no longer remains on the surface when it rains.

McKenzie completed a patio build for my backyard as well as re-sloping the yard and remediating long-standing stormwater drainage issues. The quality of the masonry and construction is excellent, but the differentiating factor for me has been the attention to small details that make the entire project a success, not only as a beautiful and functional new space but also a long-term solution for protecting my home's foundation and property from future drainage problems.
